SACRAMENTO, CA—March27, 2012– A Texas-based daily deal site, SaveMore.com, has generated more than 1,000 complaints with Better Business Bureau after consumers complained they never received paid-for coupons and experienced difficulty contacting the company to resolve issues.
Several Northern California consumers join customers from 44 other states who have filed complaints against the ‘F’ rated business in the last 10 months.
“I ordered 42 items from Savemore.com,” said a Plumas Lake consumer. “I’ve only received some of my order. They need to stop taking people’s money and information.”
After Better Business Bureau of Dallas issued a warning about SaveMore.com last December, complaints poured in. Hundreds of complaints are currently unanswered by the company, while some complainants have received their paid-for coupons.
“I was very frustrated with them,” said a Sacramento man. “I got my items after I contacted Better Business Bureau and the district attorney. People need to know about this business.”
SaveMore.com is owned by Lifestyle– Save More, LLC based out of Dallas, TX. A company owned by Van Arsdale, Augur, Inc. is listed as manager.
Arsdale was founder and CEO of CreditSolutions of America, a business that was the subject of lawsuits in eight states in 2009. The suits alleged that the company failed to follow through on promises to relieve its customers of debt.
Credit Solutions of America, like Lifestyle – Save More, LLC, has an ‘F’ rating withBBB.
“We’re seeing more and more complaints originating from the use of daily deal sites,”said Gary Almond, president of BBB serving Northeast California. “It is important consumers research the history of a company before handing over money.”
A Redding woman said she never received anything she bought off the website. “All I want is my money back; I don’t even care about the gift cards at this point,”she said.
